Left Lane and Right Lane Blocked. : Louisville, KY (October 16, 2015) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 5 Office advises motorists of road work this weekend on Interstate 64 in Jefferson County. Contract crews will be performing some corrective work on an asphalt resurfacing project that was performed this summer. The right lane of I-64 will be closed in various locations between I-264 (Watterson Expressway) and I-265 (Gene Snyder Freeway), mile points 12.4 to 18.9. Work will take place in both directions beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17 and finishing by midnight on Sunday, October 18. In addition, some ramp closures are necessary for corrective work. The following ramps are scheduled for closure from 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17 until 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 18: I-64 East to KY 913 (Blankenbaker Parkway) North (Exit 17)I-64 East to I-265 South (Exit 19A) Motorists should slow down in these work zones and watch for equipment entering and exiting the roadway. The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
