Right Lane and Right Shoulder Blocked. : The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 5 Office advises motorists of roadside maintenance this week along Interstate 264 (Georgia Powers Expressway) in Jefferson County. KYTC crews will utilize a rail mower to trim back trees and shrubs along I-264 East between the 34th Street overpass and the Dumesnil Street overpass (mile points 2 to 3). The right lane will be closed this evening, Thursday, September 3, from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Crews will also be working in this area on Saturday, September 5 with the right lane of I-264 East closed from 7:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Motorists are advised to slow down and watch for highway workers along the roadway.
