Louisville Traffic Update, Construction / Road Work. Left Lane Blocked. : Louisville, KY (October 19, 2015) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 5 Office advises motorists of road work this week on Interstate 71 in Jefferson County. KYTC traffic crews will be installing lights on I-71 North at the interchange with I-264 (Watterson Expressway), mile point 5.0 The left lane of I-71 North will be closed nightly on Monday, October 19 and Tuesday, October 20 from 7:00 p.m. each evening until 5:00 a.m. the following morning. Motorists should slow down in this work zone and watch for equipment entering and exiting the roadway. The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
