Use the Lewis & Clark Bridge to ease Thunder Over Louisville traffic

Leading up to and on Saturday, April 22 motorists will find many changes along the roadways crossing the Ohio River because of Thunder Over Louisville. For example, the Second Street Bridge will have multiple closure dates and times. According to this news article, the Second Street Bridge will be closed during the following times:

  • Thursday, April 20: closes at 9:30 a.m.
  • Friday, April 21: closed
  • Saturday, April 22: closed
  • Sunday, April 23: closed midnight to 2 p.m.

Local commuters and travelers passing through Louisville can use the Lewis & Clark Bridge as an alternative route to pass between Kentucky and Indiana and avoid heavy crowds and traffic downtown during Thunder Over Louisville.

As you can see from the map highlighted in blue, the Lewis & Clark Bridge connects multiple major roadways provides motorists and another way to get from I-65 in Indiana to I-64 or I-71 in Kentucky, for example.
