INCLEMENT WEATHER FORCES EVACUATIONS

LOUISVILLE, KY. (OCT. 6, 2013)-A Level 2 EOC Activation is in effect as there have been multiple evacuations within Louisville Metro. Most flooding is from Beargrass Creek with evacuations from Rockcliff & Peabody, Whispering Hills area, and Guardian Court area. Jefferson County Public Schools, The American Red Cross, and TARC are all working together to provide transportation and shelter for the individuals and families evacuated from their homes.
There are many roads barricaded in the Metro:

Louisville Traffic Update, Southbound Interstate 65: The exit ramp to westbound KY 1065 (Outer Loop) will be closed to allow for installation of a high friction surface course and sign upgrades. In addition, the ramp from westbound KY 1065 to Minors Lane will be closed during this work. These ramps will be closed from 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11 until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14. Motorists should follow the signed detours for both of these locations.
