September 20, 2016 – Due to ongoing construction, a southbound lane of I-71 in the area of KY841 (Gene Synder Freeway) will close intermittently starting 9 p.m. Wednesday, September 21. through Saturday, September 24. The lane will reopen during peak traffic hours in the morning and afternoon each day. Overnight closures are scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning.
The closure is expected to be in place during the following times:
Wednesday, Sept 21: Overnight 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. Sept. 22
Thursday, Sept. 22: Lane to reopen by 5 a.m. Closed 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Overnight 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. Sept. 23.
Friday, Sept. 23: Lane to reopen by 5 a.m. Closed 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 24: Closed 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Motorists are asked to use caution and drive slowly when driving in the area during this time.
